Sanju Samson’s Rajasthan Royals have secured their first win in the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). They got a dramatic 3-wicket win against Delhi Capitals on Thursday night.

Delhi batted first after losing the toss at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai and managed to score 147 runs losing 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs because of controlled bowling by Jaydev Unadkat and Mustafizur Rahman. Unadkat took three wickets conceding only 15 runs. In this match, The ‘Cutter Master’ Mustafiz could be seen in the old rhythm. He bowled 4 overs and took 2 wickets giving away 29 runs. Aussie all-rounder Marcus Stoinis got out in the first over of Fizz. And in his last over he bowled English all-rounder Tom Curran. Captain Rishabh Pant scored the maximum 51 run-innings off 32 balls for Delhi.

Coming down to chase the target of 148 runs, Rajasthan lost 5 wickets to score only 42 runs in 9.2 overs. From there, two South African stars, David Miller and Chris Morris were instrumental in getting the team closer to the victory. Miller was dismissed for 62 off 43 balls hitting 7 fours and 2 sixes, but Morris left the field after securing the victory and scored 36 runs off 18 balls.

After winning this match, Rajasthan Royals has climbed up to the fifth position in the points table and Delhi Capitals are fourth in the points table after losing.
