Kolkata Knight Riders lost by last year’s runner-up Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Thursday. Shakib-less Kolkata Knight Riders lost to Rishabh Pant’s team by 8 wickets at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
After losing the toss, KKR batted first and scored 154 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs. Caribbean all-rounder Andre Russell played an unbeaten knock of 45 off 27 balls. Besides, opener Shubman Gill scored 43 runs. Captain Morgan and Sunil Narine could not open the book of scoring. Axar Patel and Lalit Yadav took two wickets each for Delhi.
