In the 6th match of RSWS T20 (2020-21), an exciting match between Sri Lanka Legends and West Indies Legends was played at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium (Raipur) on Saturday (March 8) night. Sri Lanka Legends won by 5 wickets against their opponent West Indies Legends.
West Indies Legends got off to a good start after losing the toss and opting to bat. They scored 38 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in six overs of the power play. Captain Brian Lara and Dwayne Smith then put on a 66-run stand for the third wicket. With 4 fours and 3 sixes, Smith returned to the dressing room after playing a crucial inning of 47 off 27 balls, Lara was on the wicket till the last ball of the innings. His unbeaten 53 off 49 balls helped the West Indies Legends to put on 157 for 4.
On another hand, The Sri Lanka batsmen have started to chase down the target at the very beginning. They lost 1 wicket at the end of six overs and picked up 45 runs. Captain Tillakaratne Dilshan returned to the dressing room scoring 47 runs off 37 balls, but another batsman Upul Tharanga left the field after leading the team to victory. He scored 53 runs off 35 balls for the team. Tino Best and Sulieman Benn were the highest wicket-takers & they took two wickets each for West Indies Legends.
Sri Lanka Legends have climbed up to 2nd place in the points table after winning this match. West Indies Legends are 6th in the points table after losing on the other hand.

IND vs ENG (4th Test – Day 3)
At the end of the second day, India was 89 runs ahead of the visitors and started the 3rd day with Washington Sundar (60) and Akshar Patel (11) at the crease. The hosts lost three wickets in the last five balls of the innings. When Axar Patel (43) was run out, India’s 106-run stand for the eighth wicket was broken. When batting all-rounder Ben Stokes picked up the last two wickets from one end, Washington Sundar returned to the pavilion with an unbeaten 96 on the other end of the wicket. England went down to bat in their second innings and India’s spin poisoned them again. The two Indian spinners, Ravichandran Ashwin and Axar Patel, have taken five wickets each. England started the second innings with 160 runs behind from their opposition and was all out for 135 runs. England lost 6 wickets to pick up 65 runs and the highest run-getter for them was Dan Lawrence (50), who came down to the middle at 7th. India beat England by an innings and 25 runs in the last Test to win the four-match series 3-1. Virat Kohli and co. also reached the final of the ICC World Test Championship. India finished the league stage of the World Test Championship at the top of the points table, and will face New Zealand in the final at Lord’s next June.

Sri Lanka and the West Indies faced off in a thrilling match at the Coolidge Cricket Ground (Antigua) in the second T20 match of the series on Saturday night, March 6. Sri Lanka won by 43 runs against their opponent, West Indies. Sri Lanka’s two openers Danushka Gunathilaka and Pathum Nissanka got off to a great start by winning the toss and choosing to bat. They made an opening partnership of 95 runs. Danushka Gunathilaka (56) and Pathum Nissanka (37) returned to the pavilion playing decent cricket & the Lankans put up a challenging 161 on the board for 6 based on their runs. The Caribbean batsmen fell under fire from the Sri Lankan bowlers from the start to chase the target.
West Indies were knocked out of the match by the whirl of spinners Wanindu Hasaranga and Lakshan Sandakan, losing all their wickets in 18.4 overs and were all out for 117 runs.
